Eye Pieces of Vail position themselves as a high-end optical boutique that takes pride in providing their clients with the best eye care and eyewear selection available anywhere.  They've been a fixture in the Vail community for over 30 years. We were honored when they approached us to help re-design one of their flagship stores located at the top of Bridge Street at the base of Gondola One.

A unique feature of this location is the "Goggle Bar" where you can relax and browse a selection of over 140 goggles while enjoying a custom configured cup of coffee or espresso provided by the elegant, iPad controlled Top Brewer.  A CNC routed Eye Pieces logo display cut from 3/8" thick clear acrylic slowly rotates in the front window while displaying feature products.  There is also a vast selection of sunglasses, helmets, and other unique eyewear provided.  

The team at Ideations was responsible for every aspect of this process from the initial space planning, architectural cad drawings, lighting & material specifications, 3d modeling, shop drawings, procurement and fabrication of all interior components as well as installing the final components.  We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with this unique brand.

These are progress photos of a new Visitors Center that Forest City asked us to help concept and design for Stapleton's new Conservatory Green.  This was our third project with Forest City and we really enjoy how receptive they are to fun and new out-of-the-box ideas.

This space needed to help set the overall tone for Stapleton's Conservatory Green Neighborhood.  We had to be careful to help differentiate it from Stapleton's Southern Neighborhoods but also show how it's taking the success of the existing neighborhoods and building upon it.  Sort of a Stapleton version 2.5 with a mix of Modern/Prairie.  Working closely with Forest City and Strada Advertising we've developed some fun, non-traditional displays and elements to help educate a visitor in a fun and playful way.  The landscaped exterior is accentuated with some funky recycled seating elements and a large patio for relaxing and will be watched over by a Chief Urban Gardener.  There is a prominent bright green bicycle sculpture near the front door that is meant to speak towards Stapleton's Green design as well as promote it's many miles of bike paths.  The interior is a mix of Cedar planking on the walls, Stained Beatle Kill floors and a ping pong table center piece!  There is a library where visitors and homeowners can research & read up on Sustainability, Urban Farming as well as other Green Ideas implemented at Stapleton.  A large bright red kitchen island creates a modern gathering place to talk about the neighborhood with a representative.  Two large rotating walls are used for community brochures and to speak towards what it's like to live at Stapleton.  A large 80" monitor will be used to present information pertaining to the overall story at Stapleton and an interactive kiosk allows visitors to explore the neighborhood more in depth and help plan out their visit.  The space is meant to be fun, offer the tools that a visitor to Stapleton would need and, most important, to set the tone and feel of the neighborhood as development moves forward.  We expect this to be a great launching pad for exploring the North Neighborhoods.

Ideations was recently approached by Slifer Smith and Frampton to help re-envision two of their real estate offices located inside of the Park Hyatt at Beaver Creek.

Ideations presented a few conceptual floorplan options & created sketches and 3d models of the displays which helped the client settle on a firm direction.  We then produced the necessary architectural drawings for the remodel, created shop drawings of the new displays, proposed new graphics, fabricated all custom displays and installed all of the final displays.  During the process we worked closely with the on-site contractor as well as other vendors and suppliers to ensure the final product matched the conceptual renderings.

e were asked to help design, fabricate and ship several Blue Moon POP displays for a test run at a few west coast Safeway stores.  The displays were shipped on-time and were a successful sales tool for Blue Moon.

Ideations was tasked with coming up with a new look for one of Slifer Smith & Frampton' older and smaller sales offices.  This would serve as a test bed for expanding the look to other offices.  We removed several walls and opened the space up to create a more inviting and welcoming environment.  The materials were updated from the old traditional mountain look to something a bit more modern.  Sliding 3-form panels were used to create a flex area that can be closed off for meetings or opened up to become part of the display area.  LED backlighting was used to create a glowing / impactful reception desk.

Ideations provided all construction plans, specified all materials and colors, designed & fabricated all of the custom furniture pieces and display elements and did all of the final installation work.  A local contractor was used to acquire the necessary permitting & do all of the on-site demolition and construction.

​We were approached by an advertising agency to create a display for Aquafresh.  This display was meant to be used in several International Corporate meetings.  The rough design was existing but the plans were all in German.  Ideations had to take the existing plans and reverse engineer how it should be constructed and what materials should be used.  Flatbed printing techniques as well as countour cut graphics were used to create the CNC'd side acrylic pieces as well as all of the logos.  LED strip lighting was used to edge light the inside of the display.

All drawings, specifications, fabrication and crating was done in-house by Ideations.  Shipping and installation was coordinated by Ideations.

deations was asked to design, engineer, fabricate and install an original & functional custom wine solution for Fortune Valley Casino in Blackhawk.  All parts were waterjet cut from hot rolled steel with a protective clear coat applied before installation.

Ideations was asked to help concept & design the sales center for the new 7 Calhoun project located in Charleston S.C.  We worked on everything from initial space planning through final installation of the finished pieces and everything in-between.

This was a high-end real estate sales center for SSF in Park City, UT.  All design, engineering, fabrication, signage, space planning, fabrication, interior decorating, and installation was done by Ideations.​

​A local ad agency approached us with a challenge.  An architectural firm had specified a beer trailer in the lobby of the new Miller-Coors Corporate office in Chicago.  The problem was that the architects couldn't figure out a good way to accomplish this.  We were asked to find a solution.  We field measured an actual trailer then devised a modular cabinet system that would allow us to get the display up to the 15th floor using only a small freight elevator.  Ideations provided all the design work as well fabrication, delivery and oversight on the final installation.

​A large national electronic retailer asked Ideations to create an inviting space that would allow visitors to meet with an expert and discover how technology could easily be adapted and integrated into a home.

Ideations created the look and feel of the room as well as designed, fabricated and installed all of the graphics & displays.​

Quizno's has asked us to concept and prototype a few different things for them over the years.  We've designed everything from modular menu systems to dessert trays, free-standing kiosks and even a new product launch for their sensible sides line.

The following images display the various Trophies and Awards that we've been asked to produce over the years.  Our favorite has been the NASCAR Coors Light Pole Position trophy, or maybe it's the Blue Moon Orange Press Trophy?

​Chef Troy Guard commissioned us to design the wine feature for his Larimar Square restaurant TAG.  The original design spanned two stories with a glass walkway but budget required the design to be scaled back to just the upper floor.  A hot rolled steel cage was fabricated to create the structure that would carry the wine.  The cooling units are enclosed in the upper part of the display.  An attached ladder is used to reach the upper cabinets.

​This was an interesting project we did for a local development.  Observatory Village in Ft. Collins is themed around an actual observatory and the study of the solar system.  The replica planets they had displayed in one of their parks were damaged by vandals and they asked us if we could do some refurbishing.  We took the planets back to our shop and added our artistic touch.

​This was a quick turn around project that a local printer asked us to help fabricate. They had the artwork but needed help figuring out how to execute the backlighting and the structure.  Ideations developed a 3d model to help illustrate our solution then we did all fabrication and wiring in house.

​The home of Blue Moon Beer!  Working with a local ad agency, we helped develop a new exterior patio for the Sandlot Brewery.  The goal was better utilize this large exterior space and to provide a fun place to hang out before and after a game.  All of the boarder planters had to be easily moveable using a pallet jack so brewing ingredients could easily be brought into the facility.  

​The following photos reflect some of the unique wine walls we've been fortunate enough to design over the years.  Our first foray into these challenges was Marapwa in Cherry Creek (Now named Second Home Kitchen + Bar).  The success of this feature lead to a second request by the same client to develop a similar concept at a hotel in Washington D.C.  That one went really well and the same client hired us to develop a VIP wine area for Elway's downtown location.  Because of these successes we've been commissioned to do a few residential units as well as a couple additional restaurants.  See our other photo gallery for TAG and Fortune Valley Casino.
